yes, but they never take the last landing pad available (in case you want to call in a ship) so if you plan on parking your ship, you need at least Three landing pads for an NPC to land. Yes, but only if you have 2 or more. Is there reasons for NPC's to land at your base?
If you can plop your landing pad, it will, in theory, destroy any material permanently when it is created. Juror is still out. So far, the Devs have said several times that they "fixed" it since you could build anywhereso a couple of yearsnever got fixed yet. It will go away for awhile, but always comes back. #3.
So, yes, that should be possible. cool :O. You can build around the landing pad and it works fine. Just don’t cover it or it won’t land. •. I tested it in creative. But keep in mind that only certain building pieces work and fit correctly around the pad. The large and cuboid work best for this. The actual parts have clipping issues but

Problem: When materializing in a ground base from a save point or teleporter, I frequently fall through to the next floor or hit the ground. Not a showstopper, but annoying. Exceptions: materializing on the old landing pad or ground works as expected. Workaround #1: place your teleporter/save points on the landing pad or ground. If you keep your base computer 300u away from any pads and don't stretch the boundary, though, a trading post base works and looks cool.
The only downside of using your base landing pad is that traders will continually circle waiting for an opportunitygets kind of noisy. I find it irritating. I actually prefer that the game automatically places your ship off the pad unless you specifically land on it.
In situations like that, you could either swim for hours in order to check out the various sections of under water, or if you could land on water, simply fly to where a marker is etc. and land. My saying there HAS to be this feature was more like, there really should be. stlfenix47 • 8 yr. ago.
